EXHIBIT AT ART GALLERY – A MUST
The spectacular new exhibit at the Capital’s Elymr de Hory Gallery, is a must for all hot avatars. “Mayonnaise Sculptures of the Ghanzi” is a stunning display of the naïve primitive expression of the ignorant and dirty peoples of the Ghanzi expressed in the modern plastic colloidal medium which takes the breath away. Although the work suffers from the taint of complaint as derisive of the Count of Dijon’s Mustard Plasters of last season, it is still partially original and carries all the passions and remonstrations of primitive man raging against the cell phone of modernity. Viewing the exhibit, one is stuck by the conflict of analytical constructivism and emotional diversion. The piece “Puffy Boy and Paulina’s Leg” is a powerful tour de-forces of the sculptural arts and evokes strong sexual images in its whirling blend of detris infused mayonnaise. Another piece enigmatically entitled “My Home” evokes the sounds and cries of young girls enclosed in a box of Ritz Crackers in the almost musical use of the medium in expressing basic human desires such as love, antipathy, and lust. The exhibit will be open until Tuesday when it moves to the Tate Modern.
